number, please?

I realize I am the last person on earth to have worked on a switchboard with cords and plugs, but that doesn't make me antique, exactly. I am apparently also the last person on earth who is unwilling to pay $4 a month for Caller ID. So if you call me, I DON'T SEE YOUR NUMBER! I realize you don't feel the need to leave a number in your message, but consider this: I may not want to go look up your number, may not have it at all, and (gasp) don't have Caller ID! Therefore, if I DON'T call you back, it is far more likely you didn't leave one than I am ignoring you. Please don't assume everybody wants to pay money for more brain-numbing services. Speed dial is bad enough, and I don't have to pay for that...
